Res Creativa

Civic life needs artists for comprehension.
Right now, the people trained to imagine futures are not organized as a civic force.
Res Creativa will be a nonprofit network of artists, writers, musicians, performers, designers, filmmakers, and creative thinkers across disciplines.
Its purpose is simple: To strengthen public life through creative intelligence.
Not as entertainment. Not as branding. Not as cultural ornament. But as civic practice.
This is for you if you believe creativity belongs in public life
If you believe creativity is part of how societies function, this is for you. If you believe artists shape how people think, feel, and imagine the future, this is for you.
If you believe creative people should not be isolated from civic life, this is for you. If you believe imagination is a civic necessity rather than a luxury, this is for you.
What this is
Res Creativa will be a civic network for creative intelligence.
It will connect people across disciplines who believe that artists and creative thinkers should help shape public life as participants in it, not as observers outside of it.
There is nothing yet to join formally and nothing to pay.
However, we invite you to add your name and be a founder
Help us shape and grow this creative republic.
What happens when you add your name
When you add your name, you are joining a developing list of founding signatories.
From there, you will be part of early cross-disciplinary conversations about the role of creativity in public life. You will be part of shared civic questions that shape future direction. You will be included in future gatherings and collaborative initiatives.
You will be part of a developing network of artists and thinkers across regions and disciplines.
This is the beginning.
Res Creativa Founders
Writers, musicians, theater artists, visual artists, designers, filmmakers, architects, multidisciplinary creators, and arts workers have already added their names. They also include lifelong supporters of the arts.
Our founders span multiple states and several countries.
Founding Ideas
Early conversations inside Res Creativa include:
The Republic of Artists, which asks how creative people could organize as a civic force.
The New Civic Imagination, which explores what artists can restore to public life.
Founding Principles of creative civic life
Creative Intelligence in public life
A Community of Practice for artists and makers.
These are not finished documents. They are starting points for our collective development.
Add your name
This is the first step.
If you believe creativity belongs at the center of public life, add your name to the founding list.
This is how a civic network begins, not with institutions, but with recognition.
If people who know how to imagine do not organize, others will decide the future without us.
